Solace Counseling accepts a broad range of insurances plans; however, coverage may vary by provider. While our office verifies active insurance prior to the first session we cannot guarantee benefits, claim processing, or payment amounts. We encourage you to call your insurance to confirm that the Solace provider you would like to see is in-network with your insurance policy and to review your coverage details.
Solace Counseling is currently credentialed with the following insurances:
Important Insurance Notes
* Medicare requires the first session to be in person. Our office will also need a referral from a primary care doctor or physician if you are seeing a provider who is a LAPC or LMSW.
** Our office is unable to accept Minnesota Medicaid or any Minnesota Medicaid Expansion plans. Our office will also need a referral from a primary care doctor or physician if you are seeing a provider who is a LAPC or LMSW.
*** Our office is out-of-network with Sanford True and, to our knowledge, Sanford True does not offer out-of-network benefits at this time. This means that insurance claims submitted to Sandford True are being processed by Sanford True entirely to client responsibility.
Questions to ask your insurance provider
- Does my health insurance plan include mental health benefits?
- Do I have a copay/coinsurance? If so, what is the amount?
- Do I have a deductible? If so, what is it and have I met it yet?
- Are CPT codes 90837, 90834, 90791, and 96127 covered?
- Does my plan limit how many sessions per calendar year I can have? If so, what is the limit?
- Do I need written approval from my primary care physician in order for services to be covered?
While we do not participate with all health care providers, many insurance companies offer “out of network” mental health benefits. Most insurance plans with out-of-network benefits will reimburse you 60-90% of our fee when you submit a claim. Please note that we make no guarantees about the level of reimbursement from your insurance company.
Please check with your insurance company prior to the first session to determine if seeing an outpatient therapist at our office qualifies for reimbursement. We can provide receipts (Superbills) that will assist with the reimbursement process.
