counseling services for Children
Heading 1 heading 2
Are you worried, confused, or deeply concerned about your adolescent? Do they seem depressed, anxious, angry or extremely sad? Perhaps they have had one, or many, traumatic events occur and are unsure how to handle the emotions associated with them. Perhaps they vocalize their anger and sadness, or perhaps they seem to isolate and keep it all in.
As a parent, your children are the center of your world. We do so much to make sure they are growing into healthy, productive, and well-loved children. But sometimes, we find ourselves asking if our child’s behavior is normal or we question how to handle certain situations with our children.
I have a love and understanding of connecting with adolescents. I recognize the first step in therapy is to form a connection of trust and understanding. I have years of experience working with adolescents in a variety of settings to work through their emotions.
Parents play an instrumental role in their child’s lives every single day. I understand the importance of having parents participate in their adolescents’ therapy. As a team, we can work together to help your adolescent through this and build self confidence and strength in the process.
I work with survivors or sexual assault to help change their inner voice, to process their shameful feelings, and to rediscover a sense of power, and to find that peaceful place that they once felt long ago. By using compassion, empathy, and encouragement, we will open the door to let the sun shine in on our darkest and most difficult challenges.
It’s time to heal and grow.
